What could be more enjoyable than spending a balmy summer evening in the garden? The problem, however, is that mosquitoes can often spoil such an evening. This is of course part of nature, but there are also anti-mosquito plants and you can use them to get extra peace on your terrace.
1. Lemon plant
Mosquitoes do not like the fresh scent of lemon. Therefore, there are many remedies against mosquitoes based on that principle . The most famous anti-mosquito plant is lemon bark. You can use it both in the garden and in a pot in the room or bedroom. Lemongrass is a very easy plant to grow. You can buy it in the supermarket and in the shops. Cut away the dead pieces and put the stems in water. Within a few weeks they will take root. Lemongrass is also suitable as a seasoning in a number of oriental dishes.
2. Marigold
Marigolds have no distinctive or noticeable smell, but mosquitoes hate this plant. This is a pleasant phenomenon because this plant is also simply decorative in the garden and requires little care. Marigolds can also be put in a large pot and with that it is possible to protect a balcony from those troublesome spiders. There is no point in rubbing the plant juice on your skin because the effect is not based on the smell or taste of the juice.
